New Listing "Ear Wax Worldwide" - ASX:EWW

The prospectus for this new listing just came across my desk. It is rather interesting so I thought I would pass it on for your consideration.


Apparently, it has been long known in medical circles that ear wax has some very interesting medical benefits. Dr. C. E. Rumen, the chief researcher and CEO of EWW, says

"Whilst the medicinal efficacy of ear wax has been known about for over 50 years, until now there has been no effective method of sourcing, extracting and processing the ear wax into a safe compound. Untreated ear wax has some serious side effects that our process remove. In scientific longitudinal trials of people who ingest untreated ear wax the most serious side effects evident were unjustified feelings of superiority and the tendency to be able to talk at length without saying anything at all."

I was particularly impressed that this prospectus contains an introduction by the Australian Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Kevin Rudd MP. In part, he says

"I welcome this company to the business community of Australia. As a child, I can clearly remember our family sitting around the breakfast table in our humble abode in Queensland discussing the benefits of ingesting ear wax. It's a habit that I have continued throughout my life."

Dr. Rumen goes on to say

"Part of the difficulty that we faced in establishing this process was sourcing large quantities of high quality ear wax. We believe that the solution that we have come up with is a win-win solution. In addition to developing a process to purify the ear wax we have designed a process for removing ear wax from donors in just 3 minutes (per ear). Our patented collection device is simply constructed from a modified bicycle pump and is therefore suitable for use  in any location that we can find willing donors. We envisage establishing chains of collection centers in under-developed countries to benefit the economies of those countries. With this in mind we have established our first 17 collection centers in new Zealand and our first collection center in the UK will open in May this year. Each donor receives a payment of $A4.23 per pair of ears presented. With an average person being able to donate every three weeks, we believe that our program will have a substantial positive impact on these domestic economies."

Unlike so many new biotech discoveries, this one has already achieved some market success. The Company has already signed a deal with Kraft to produce a new spread of blended Vegemite and Ear Wax. The new product is to be called Ear-Snack 2.0.
