What's it all about?

Here again? Nice of you to drop in.


As I mentioned in my previous entry, I now need to tell you what I will be doing with this blog. So, here goes.







I enjoy expresing myself in the written word. It is a special challenge to convey thoughts, feelings, opinions and nuances through such a narrow window. When we converse face to face we have many more tools to hand to ensure that the recipent of our message truly understands our meaning and intention. We have body language, tone, pitch  and volume, facial expressions and even physical contact to convey our message correctly. Whilst the written word provides us with none of these tools we have an extremely rich language (English) and syntax to express ourselves. Furthermore we have the time to compose and correct our written word to our satisfaction. I do not hold out myself as the greatest practitioner of these skills but I do enjoy the challenge of getting better and better at it.


So, having explained how I am going to express myself, I need to detail what I will be blogging about.


I have already mentioned that one of my passions is the stock market. This blog will primarily be about the stock market. I'm no expert on this - just an extremely enthusiastic amateur who is willing to develop and share his opinions. I'm certainly not a market analyst. If I have any ability it is in digesting information about specific companies and reaching a logical conclusion about them. I put a lot of weight into their financial reporting but also look at a number of other factors, including the business model, the key personnel and the honesty of the officers of the company. 


I am sure that will talk a lot about one specific Company listed on the ASX - Cellestis (CST). I declare here and now that I have been invested in this Company for nearly ten years, hold a significant (to me) number of shares and have no intention of selling those shares. I mention also that if the blog entries that I make about CST pique your interest in any way then you will find an enormous amount of very detailed information on the excellent blog at this blog over here


Aside from talking about the small selection of stocks that I am interested in I will also be talking about investing and trading the stock market in general. Yes, there are many sources of such opinions and views available on the internet. Perhaps my blog entries can play a small part in contributing to that rich tapestry.
